Yesterday, i can login in my accont replicas_castellanas, but today the account said that password wasn´t correct... I send to my mail the "remember your pasword", but don´t work: the account isn´t login.

I need help because this account is connecte with my freewebs and paypal... I need help.

Hello everyone.

I gets a 404 response when trying to do a Non-Web User Login using Email as the identifier.

The URL I post to is like "http://api.photobucket.com/login/direct/account@company.com". Does the character '@' here have anything to do with this error?

By the way, I succeeds to do the Non-Web User Login using the username as the identifier.

Could anyone help me out, please? Thank you very much.

hi,

I'm having a problem with insufficient privileges to access private album.
When I created my class that retrieves the pictures, retrieval of private album
photos was successful, but when I transferred it to my page and I used Ajax
to retrieve the photo via the class I created, the response is already giving
me Insufficient privileges to access private album.. I won't be able to provide any
code for this but can anyone please provide a couple of possible causes for this?

I have a question. I am creating a PHP script.

It is like a gallery / portfolio.

They upload image from their computer and I need it hosted on my photobucket account.

I know the PHP/HTML to where they enter info and then I am having the form POST to upload.php

What should be in upload.php in order for the uploaded photo to go to my photobucket account.

The api now supports login with user name or email. The path is "[api.photobucket.com];, as we know.

When I upload a photo, I can upload the photo successfully when authenticate with user name, but failed with email.

How to upload a photo when authenticate with email? Can anybody help me on this? Thanks in advance!

Hi everyone! I won't waste a ton of space rehashing this issue, but here's the gist: to date, there isn't a good way to utilize the Word 2007 Blog Post feature using the FTP option to upload images. The clsoest host I could find that _almost_ worked with this is Photobucket. But, from what i can tell, word is also trying to deposit some "housekeeping" files when it uploads images, which get bounced by Photobucket, and then Word (sigh) seems to give up (and possibly even delete the image it just uploaded, but I'm not 100% certain of that yet). I'm not the only one having this problem. A quick google search for word 2007 blogger ftp ~picture|~image turns up plenty of blog, forum, and help page discussions of this problem) and if photobucket was the first site to support this, something tells me that those Word Blogger out there (yes, we exist :) would flock to photobucket pro service. Is there a way to grab a random photo from the set of public photos on Picasa? I haven't found anything and the search method does not have an option to support a random query. I need more than just grabbing something from the set of recent photos; I want to take a random sample from the Picasa set of photos across all users (not just any user in particular).

If i click allow or deny means nothing is happening. It remains on the same page.

It worked fine for the past days.

Returned media items are in the wrong order (1 reply)

Hi there,

When I get an album, the media items appear to be returned in the wrong order. (This maybe a result of the API wrapper I'm using but I don't think so looking at the wrapper's source code.)

The actual order of the images returned isn't entirely wrong - its just that the first picture returned is half way through the image set. The images are from then on in the correct order until the end of the album and then it wraps around to the start and shows the images at the start of the album in the correct order.

Any ideas?

Okay, so my issue with the photobucketas3lib (http://code.google.com/p/photobucketas3lib/) is that it seems to work for some people, but for those of us who have never used the Photobucket API it has little to no examples of use, and an incredible lack of useful documentation. It seems to me that it would be a very useful library to place in my resources folders, but I can't figure out how to use the darn thing.

I have scoured the internet and found only one person with an example on how to use this library: Software By Richard: ActionScript 3 Photobucket API Basics and his code doesn't even work (I attempted to compile it in Flex and found a vital function appears to no longer exist). I commend him though for actually posting something that attempts to show the logic behind connecting with Photobucket with AS3, though. I found several other sites that mention having used this library successfully, and they even said that its implementation was "easy" or "a snap." These site also seem to belong to developers that have worked with the Photobucket API before using photobucketas3lib, which leads me to believe that if you are familiar with the way the Photobucket API works outside of AS3 (ie in PHP or Java) then the AS3 implementation should feel natural and "easy."

My problem with this is that an Actionscript Library shouldn't require knowledge of another scripting language to work. It should be geared toward the people that will be using it, Flash developers.

And I could be entirely wrong in my assumptions (you know what happens when you assume...) but even if my assumptions are completely off target, there should still be some sort of explanation as to how to even start using this thing, beyond "here is how you could search" and then jumping right into "Login with AIR."

Perhaps I got a little spoiled when I learned the Facebook and Picasa API's last week, as they had quite a few examples and more than enough documentation...

So I guess my real question here is this: Can anyone please direct those like myself to a resource that will shed some light on this topic? (and please do not send me Software By Richard: ActionScript 3 Photobucket API Basics ) Something that has at least one working example of login and one photo grab, and maybe a section detailing some more advanced features?

I am trying to get my album organization information, however I am getting a weird response. As long as I am sorting images by date added/title it works fine, but for manual sorting I am getting this response:

I am having trouble with image uploading. For a while I was stuck at Invalid Timestamp, but that went away when I finally added the "Authorization" header to my http POST. Here's what I am sending:

As far as I can tell there is no OAuth specific way to handle this scenario:

User 1 logs into website.
User 1 uses OAuth to connect website and Photobucket.
User 1 logs out.

User 2 logs into website.
User 2 tries to connect his account, but, because of the User 1's cookie, is immediately authorized and gains access to User 1's photobucket account.

Is there any way to de-authenticate a User 1 without forcing them to go to photobucket.com and log out?

Hi,

I am trying to get the list of public albums belonging to a user.
I make a HTTP GET request to "[api.photobucket.com]; and photobucket responds with:

I extract the URL from the response message and do a HTTP Get on the same. Response is this:

To ensure that my machine timestamp is valid I checked the Server timestamp and it is
.1246294867.

Hence I guess, the timestamp is not the culprit. From the documentation, I couldnot figure out much corresponding to this error code.

Please help me debug this.

Me again.

Ran into a bug, not critical since it's been worked around, but worth reporting.

As an OAuth consumer, we do this in our backend:

@request_token = photobucket_oauth_consumer.get_request_token# :oauth_callback => upload_account_url(:cb => 'true')
session[:photobucket_request_token] = @request_token.token
session[:photobucket_request_token_secret] = @request_token.secret
redirect_to @request_token.authorize_url.gsub('api.photobucket.com', 'photobucket.com')

If the user is not logged into Photobucket at the time, and they abandon the workflow at the "Login to Photobucket" page by, say, navigating back to the consumer site via back-button or direct url, the site says, "oh, look, he's got request tokens -- let's try to get a valid access token first before re-authenticating."

Obviously, the request token and the request token secret are invalid, and the code is designed to trap 401 Unauthorized errors and start the reauthentication work flow again, in the event the request token expired or the user removed access privileges via My Account.

However, Photobucket in this scenario instead returns a 500 ISE, which is unexpected. I assume this is a bug on your end?

PS:

Here's the 1/2 bug in the title I've been unable to reproduce enough to give you a test-case: occasionally instead of authenticating properly I've gotten Photobucket to do a redirect back to my callback url with status=missing_token. Since I wasn't checking the status field, when the site tried to use the invalid request token data, Photobucket hit me up with a 500 ISE instead of a 401 Unauthorized. I'm not sure if both of these are the same bug or two separate bugs that just so happened to collide for me.

So, I've been plagued with 'signature check failed' all day, which seems like a pretty popular error in the forums.

The problem is, it happens sporadically -- occasionally the requests succeed, occasionally they fail at some point during the OAuth request (or access if it gets that far) token flow.

It seems to be an issue of time(stamps), since it works occasionally if I'm patient or bored enough to refresh the page a few times.

Attached below are two examples of the same code running at different times; they each produce a separate result: one succeeds, one fails. Can anyone point out the difference between these HTTP requests besides the time, obviously?

(I know the oauth_callback url is a path and not an absolute URL, but I fixed it after I sampled these requests and it still failed. I read that you guys ignore it, anyway)

I'm using Ruby's OAuth gem, 0.3.5.

Image uploads with PBAPI (2 replies)

Hi,

I'm quite new to this subject, and am trying to upload images using this code:

$albumid = 'my_album'; //as if set from an input somewhere
$key 	= 1000001;
$secret = 'x0x0x0x0x0';

$api = new PBAPI($key, $secret); //init the api
$api->setResponseParser('phpserialize'); //set everything up to get out PHP arrays - this isnt currently the default, but will be in the next release.  You need to setResponseParser before starting queries for the easiest results.
$resp = $api->album($albumid)->upload(array('type' => 'image', 'uploadfile' => '@/path/to/my/image.jpg', 'title' => 'my upload'))->post()->getResponseString();

But I keep getting the "timestamp invalid" error. I know that I need to define the "oauth_timestamp" variable in it, but how do I do that?

I know how the timestamp variable works. I just don't know the right syntax/command to put it in there. Also, does the user need to be logged in before uploading the image?

Seems like this should be easy, so maybe I missed something. I want to get media from a user's album based on multiple tags. I see the method "Get Media Tags for a User" in the API docs, which looks like it might be the key, but it appears to only get media based on one tag. Is it possible to get media based on multiple tags? So say I want pictures that have boat the tags "boat" and "trip". Is there a way to pass in that request?

The form mentions authentication in neither the actual form data nor the query string. Where is this information specified?

Also, should the "format" parameter be part of the hash?
