I need help with...

What is a tag?

A tag is text that uniquely identifies a section of an image, and tags can ONLY be added to images. You can add tags to an entire image using regular tagging or to sections of an image using advanced tagging. Tags can be up to 50 characters long and cannot contain HTML or script tags.

Users can see the tags in an image when they move their mouse pointer over the full-size image. Tags entered using regular tagging are not “coordinate-based” and display regardless of where the mouse pointer is. Tags entered using advanced tagging are “coordinate-based” and only display as the mouse pointer moves over a specific section of the image.

You can:

  • Add up to 20 tags to a single image.
  • Add tags for individual people, items, or sections within an image.
  • Include URL links to another website in a tag. If a tag is a URL, the tag name is clickable and opens the website.
  • Use imported contacts as tags, or enter new tag names during the tagging process. New tag names are automatically placed in your contact list for reference when you tag additional images in your album.
  • Enter an email address when you create a tag to send an email with a link to the image to that address.
  • Search for tags in the Search field.
  • Filter content within your album to display only images with a specified tag.
